I thought this was a really beautifully done poster, even if it was designed for something as simple as a birthday party and housewarming. Some other gorgeous work can be found at Ron Lewhorn’s Cargo portfolio.

Leon Thau Skate Deck Redesign
December 21st, 2009

Spotted via Formatmag:
Stuttgart-based artist Leon Thau resurected his recently broken decks, which were absolutely shredded. He sanded down and re-coated the decks with white paint, and then went over it with black acrylic paint-markers. The results are three awesome decks featuring iconic illustrations of Marilyn Monroe, Ray Charles and Johnny Cash.

I couldn’t resist posting this. The business card itself is a great piece of design, but you also need to read the story behind it. Spotted via amassblog
